Fetal Anomaly Scan (18-24 Weeks)

This scan is performed in the range of 18-24 weeks and is a very detailed examination of the baby’s anatomy to include, but not limited to, the head, spine, heart and kidneys.

This scan also allows the detection of problems such as cleft palate. The position of the placenta and the fluid surrounding the baby is also checked. A 2D Image can be supplied as black and white photograph.

If an abnormality or problem is detected, the sonographer will be explain the findings and liaise with your obstetrician or midwife to arrange further follow-up.
